No. YinYang Well offers lifestyle, dietary and wellness guidance based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. It isn't medical diagnosis or treatment and doesn't replace your GP or specialist. If you have a medical condition or worrying symptoms, please see a licensed healthcare provider. And never stop prescribed medication without your doctor.
Every Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Wellness Report is written and signed off by a senior TCM doctor, licensed in China, at Baoputang Clinic, our partner clinic in Ningbo. These are doctors with decades of clinical experience. It's never auto-generated and left unchecked. The Observation Reading is separate: it is carried out by an independent practitioner in China who is not part of the Baoputang team.
Neither. It's all remote: you fill in your intake online from anywhere, and your plan comes back to you digitally.
Nine in all: your tongue, face, palms, backs of the hands, nails and both ears. In Traditional Chinese Medicine these are the clearest windows into how your body's running: warmth, damp, circulation. Taking them on your phone in natural light is enough, and it lets the doctor read your whole picture far more accurately.
Who reads you, and how far it goes. The £79 TCM Wellness Report is written by a senior physician at Baoputang Clinic from your intake and photographs: what they see, how your body has been running, and the everyday changes that shift it. It is the usual first step, and for most people it is the only step. The £850 Observation Reading is a longer reading by one independent practitioner, working from observation and a full history, and it goes further: where she thinks it has come from, what to be careful of, what she would change first, and whether sessions in person would add anything. She is not part of the Baoputang team. If you are unsure, start with the £79 report, or ask us and we will tell you which one fits.
Most of it is yours to act on at home: what she sees, what in your daily life she thinks has shaped it, what to stop, what to keep, and what she would change first. You do not need to see anyone else to use it. If you would like someone to work with you in person, that is what the sessions in China are for, and the reading tells you whether she thinks they would be worth making.
If you take the live reading, yes. The reading itself usually takes under ten minutes by video, in Chinese with an interpreter present throughout, and you can stay on longer to ask about anything she has said. If you take the written reading, no, and the fee is the same either way. Meeting her in person is a separate thing: the sessions in China.
The written account is supplied in English. The original Chinese is not included.
Once your intake is reviewed (usually within five working days), your plan is delivered digitally and we'll set you up with a private channel, typically a WhatsApp thread or group, where you can read it and ask follow-up questions.
Securely online via Stripe: card or the usual digital wallets. Both readings are one-off payments, made upfront. There is nothing recurring, and no subscription to cancel.
The guidance we give is about food and lifestyle, designed to sit alongside conventional care, not replace it. Always keep your GP in the loop, keep taking prescribed medication, and tell us about any conditions so we can guide you sensibly.
Before your report has been delivered: yes, in full. Change your mind at any point before it reaches you and we'll refund you, no reason needed.
Once it's been sent to you: your report is written for you personally, so at checkout we ask you to confirm you'd like us to start straight away, which means the automatic 14-day cancellation right ends once it's been delivered. But we don't want you left holding something that doesn't fit. Tell us where it doesn't match what you told us and a second doctor licensed in China will review and rewrite it. If you're still not happy after that rewrite, we'll refund you, as long as you let us know within 14 days of your report arriving. Your statutory rights are not affected.
The £850 Observation Reading works differently: it is credited in full against sessions in person if you go on to have them, but taken on its own it is not refundable once written. Full details are on our terms and privacy page.
