We arrange two readings from China: one by a senior physician at a licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic, one by an independent practitioner. Both are done at a distance, and either stands on its own.
Hers is the classical way: the body read as a whole rather than the symptom on its own. The order matters. You have to be able to read the whole before you are any use on the part, and that is what takes the years, which is why it is passed on teacher to student, one to one. Illness here is silt in a river and health is the flow: wherever the channel blocks is where symptoms surface, so the work is on the channel. Her hand is light, like wind through a willow.
They arrive at different points. Some after years of it, some just starting to look for another way. Any one of these is reason enough.
Some people come to us while they wait for an appointment. Others have years of fatigue, digestion that never settles or sleep that doesn't restore, and a file of results within normal range. Traditional Chinese Medicine asks a different set of questions from the ones your tests answer. It sits alongside your medical care, never in place of it.
Back, neck, shoulder, knee, hip. Whether it started last month or fifteen years ago, she looks at it as part of the whole of you: when it began, what you were doing then, and what the rest of your body has been doing since. Her work in person is hands-on energy work, with gua sha and moxibustion where she judges them right for you. It is not medical treatment.
Whether you feel well, run down or are managing a diagnosis, you'd like to understand how your body is running and what you can do about it day to day. A reading sets out what has pulled it off balance, then gives you a plan you can act on: what to eat, how to sleep, how to move, matched to you. The changes are yours to make, at your own pace.
Both begin with an online form you fill in yourself: your health history, what you've already tried and how it went. Neither requires you to travel. The £79 report comes back to you in writing. The £850 reading can be live on a video call with an interpreter, followed by her written account, or written only.
A detailed intake with tongue and face photographs, read by a senior Traditional Chinese Medicine physician at our partner clinic in Ningbo, China. You receive a written account of what they see and what to change.
What it coversA reading by our most experienced practitioner, from your photographs and full history. She reads every case herself. Take it live on video with an interpreter, or in writing. If you would like to see her in person in China, it estimates how long that would take and what it would cost.
What it coversThe £850 fee is credited in full against your sessions if you go on to see her in China. Once the reading has been delivered, it is not refundable.
Baoputang is a licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic in Ningbo, China, with nine senior physicians. Two of them write the £79 reports. The £850 reading is given by an independent practitioner who is not part of the Baoputang team.
Master's-trained and immersed in Huang Yuanyu's eleven classical texts. Known among patients for how much detail goes into the advice he writes for every case: what to eat, and what to change.
A master's in TCM internal medicine from Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine, grounded in Huang Yuanyu's Si Sheng Xin Yuan. She works across internal and women's health.
Taught privately, over years, by one teacher in a tradition passed on one to one. Working with clients since 2002, from her own practice in China. Senior TCM doctors bring her the cases they cannot place.
We do not sell a fixed programme, because we do not know what you need until you have been read. How long you would come for, and what that costs, is estimated in your Observation Reading and confirmed once she has seen you. Only then is there anything to book.
Sessions are given in person by the same practitioner who writes your reading, one session at a time rather than as a package. The number of sessions is decided from your reading. For some people that is a few days, for others two or three weeks.
Each session is an hour, and for that hour you are the only person she is working with.
The Observation Reading sets out how the practitioner reads your whole picture, what she thinks has shaped it, and what to be careful of. It stands on its own, and most people stop here.
If sessions in person would add anything, the report gives her estimate of how many days and what they would cost. The number is confirmed once she has seen you in person.
If you go ahead, the £850 reading fee is credited in full against your sessions. If you do not, the reading is still yours to keep.
An interpreter throughout, and one point of contact in the UK for the whole trip. Flights and accommodation you book yourself, in your own name; we can suggest places near her practice, and we take no commission on any of them.
A written summary in English, a plan you can follow at home, and scheduled follow-up in the months that follow.

I'm Sara. For years I ran a content creator agency, worked flat out, and lived the way most people in the UK do. Then my body started pushing back: mouth ulcers almost every month, and coughs that dragged on for months. Every test came back normal.
That's what took me to Traditional Chinese Medicine. It asked about the things nobody else had: what I ate, when I slept, how I was living. I've been studying it ever since, sharing what I learn in short videos, and going back to China to shadow senior doctors. YinYang Well is how you get that kind of one-to-one read for yourself.
Both readings begin with a form you fill in online, in your own time, and photographs you take on your phone.
Not sure which? Read about the report or the Observation Reading first. If you would rather ask something before you start, write to yinyangwell@wesconnex.com.
The meal-deal habit, and what cold food asks of your body.
Two kinds of tired that Western thinking lumps together.
The hour you wake is a clue, not a coincidence.
